so I woke up this morning feeling weird I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow and I've had some blood pressure trouble although with meds it's under control. I had a doctor appointment yesterday and the doctor said everything looked good yet I woke up at 4 feeling like something was wrong three hours later I'm having a lot of back pain and pressure I cannot put my finger on anything else I haven't felt the baby move more then 4 or 5 times in the three hours since I've been up and my head feels like someone put it in a vice grip. I called Labor and delivery and was told to just stay put for a bit to try and eat something and if I still feel weird when the doctors office opens then I should call them. and that just feeling weird isn't enough to go on. however every book or website I've read (in three pregnancy's) says if your having high blood pressure and something doesn't feel right you should inform your doctor. So I'm confused I don't feel right and I'm scared that something is going on. yet I feel like my fears are not being taken seriously. we are in the middle of a blizzard and I don't want to have to take my kids somewhere then run up to the hospital if I'm just being overly sensitive but I also don't want to do nothing is something really is going on. So I'm going to try and relax till the doctors office is open and I'll call them but what do you guys think?

I hope everything was okay! Definitely just relax when you feel like that and call the hospital and talk to a nurse and ask them what to do if you feel like that again and your doc isn't open.

It doesn't sound like you are being overly sensitive. You should always listen to yourself. It sounds like you maybe going into labor shortly. I had the same symptoms prior to going into labor a couple of days before it happened. I felt like something was wrong. I felt sick and my back was killing me. I hope everything works out for you.

I agree with Amanda. Try and do the least stressful thing possible. Our minds can play tricks on us at times. It is definitely something you should talk to the doctor about but try to stay calm until they open.

I hope you were able to figure out what was wrong. I have always found that not knowing what is going on is more stressful and scary then knowing. Best of luck!

I hope everything has checked out ok at the doctors office. I had high blood pressure and was admitted to hospital as I could not see properly because the blood pressure had got so high. My baby was delivered after being induced 5 weeks early 24 hours labour and then an emergency c section. If your blood pressure is managable I strongly advise that you do your best to stay calm as an induced labour is stressful and ends with c section most of the time.

I think if you have high blood pressure, this stress isnt helping you. So go take a bath or shower, and wait for the doctors office to open.
