Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one going through this

I love being a mom. I love (almost) every moment with my daughter but she throws tantrums over nothing. I say "no" or don't touch that" or even "stop" and she acts like I just stabbed her in the gut. I can't understand how she goes from 0 to 60 because she doesn't get everything she wants at that very moment. And I think what makes it worse is I tell family about my days and she is a perfect little angel when she is with them. I'll go to pick her up and ask if she behaved herself and the answer every time is "She was wonderful! Just a delight." Every. TIME. I love being with her but she drives me crazy sometimes. I feel like a terrible mother because I use tv to help me distract her just to make food... I know I'm not the only going through this but i still feel alone...

Totally normal. It's actually a positive thing that your kid can freak out w/ you... it means she feels safe and knows that even when she freaks the heck out over nothing you are still going to love her and be there for her. Lucky us.. .huh? lol Hang in there! Stay consistent and be patient... life gets better. ♥

You aren't the only mother who uses the TV to get dinner on the table. Baby Mozart was my best friend!

She sounds like a perfectly normal little toddler. The important part of this is that you DON'T give her everything she wants. If you do, the tantrums will continue. You need to stand your ground. Try to ignore the tantrums and she will eventually realise that her energy is wasted.
