My son just recently got a divorce from his wife. It was her doings. She was having an affair. They settled in mediation. Joint custody and geographic restrictions on her. She married this man 3 days ago. Now she is taking my sin back to court so she can move where this man lives. What are her chances in winning?

He will never agree to his child moving and him and his lawyer will be fighting it for sure

He can fight it for sure. Once he agrees to his child moving out of state, it would be hard to get him back in state again. Get a great lawyer and fight.

I would 'guess' that if she agreed to the restrictions only 2 months ago... her chances of approval are slim, but if she can in some way prove this move is in the child's best interest... who knows?

Good luck to your son and his lawyer!

She tried to get to move during medications but my son is very involved in his child's life. He is 9 . He plays all kinds of sports and his dad coaches his teams. They are now on summer break but the child makes good grades and is involved with the gifted and talented program. She agreed to the geographic restrictions and they are in the agreement. It's only been 2 months and now she is married.

She would have to demonstrate that this move is in the best interests of the child. Your son needs to have his lawyer argue that it isn't in the child's best interests. How old is the child? That often makes a difference - if he is in school, she is talking uprooting his school, friends, his entire support network. That's a big ask. This is really a question for the lawyer.
