Hello! My ds is 5 months, teething and weaning. He makes a teeny bit of poop at least once an hour and in the last 24 hours him bottom is red raw. U name it I have tried it... oh except maybe eggs.... must google that....he is feeding v well but as soon as i change him, slowly and gently with water and soft cloths, gently put back on nappy and little pants, then I hear the familiar little grunt...I almost burst into tears last nappy cos my sweet little happy boy screamed in pain and looked at me as if to say 'how could you?' I was tired, and sick of changing him and I just grabbed a wipe out of habit. Feel like the crappiest wipe wielding mom ever.

Or maybe you could ask your doctor for a cream, another good cream when the bottoms raw would be Multilind,it helps the skin heal.

Can you get Oxyplastin paste where you live?I find it to be the best paste for sore bottom. It would also be good if you can let him be without a nappy for a while like half an hour every now and then, just to let the skin breath. You could put him on a blanket with a towel just incase he needs to poop or wee. Dont blame your self, the poop when teething has something in it that is aggresive to the skin.Great that you use water to clean. My son had a sore bottom after having diahrroe for more than a week... I find the paste and leaving him naked worked well.I also used water to clean. The paste is white and coveres the area very well you just need a tiny bit.Good luck and hope babys bottom gets better soon
