Special bond

As a mum of a boy and a girl I obviously love both my kids the same, but there is something special about the bond I have with my daughter that is just totally different to the bond I have with my son.
I think it's something you can only explain if you have a little girl, and I'm not saying that the bond I have with my son isn't strong or special because it is, or that you don't bond differently with every child you have, but there is just something about a bond a mum and daughter have that is different.

Does anyone else know what I mean?

My mom feels that way too. She has a son, lost a 5 month old son, and she has me. She love my older brother very much, but she and I have a bond that is just different. We are best of friends. She is an awesome mom and has support both of us in everything we did, but it is a different type of bond. Even when I was pregnant she said how different it was that her daughter was having a baby compared to her daughter in law. We are all very close women. My SIL in fact looks like she could be my moms daughter. I only have a 3 year old son at this point, so I don't know what it would be like to have a daughter. The bond I have with my son is so strong I can't imagine a stronger one, but then again I never thought I could love someone as much as I love my little buddy. You are definitely not the only one that has felt this way about thier children. Don't feel bad about it, we all love people on different levels.
