I have a 13 year old son with emotional and learning disabilities. I am trying to find a fun way to get him active without him crying. We are learning to swim together, that I am not giving him a chose at. Need suggestion on other activities. FYI live in the Chicago if you know of any places we can go.

Elgin, a Chicago suburb, has a great warm water therapy pool that I bet you could use. Call and check it out. If the water is warm he may enjoy the swimming and then they have a great zero depth indoor pool as well. You may need a doctor recommendation to get access to the warm water pool Is your goal to get him active to to lose weight? Does he take meds that may be making it hard for him to lose weight? What is his diagnosis and where do you live?
