MOST HELPFUL POSTS

Research the topic on your own as much as you can. Learn as much as you can from home on the subject and help your daughter yourself as much as possible. Do not rely on the school to do it all. You know her better than anyone and you care the most. Schools cannot do it all and what is supposed to happen does not. I am a former teacher and this is reality. It is no one' s fault - it is just that what we think is possible is not reality. You are the best teacher she can have and when she gets old enough, she WILL NOT WANT YOUR HELP - trust me!!!!! My daughter has a lang. disability and will not accept my help or suggestions at the age of 16. Late speech can mean any number of things, but it is often a symptom of dyslexia. Don't freak about it - some of the most famous people who have accomplished the most in life are dyslexic - it gives them an edge because of the way they "see" things. However, this may have NOTHING to do with it at all. GOOD LUCK!
