My son is four months old now, breastfed 90% of the time, and he is starting to spit up.. alot. sometimes right after a feeding he spits up the milk altogether.. why cant he keep it down? Is there something wrong with my breastmilk?

Hey, my son was bottle-fed and he had gastro-reflux, he was sick after every feed, the whole lot! Used to petrify me because he would stop breathing for a couple of seconds before hand, I don't think that is a common symptom though. It was nothing serious but I was told to put anti-acid powder into his feeds.
Take him to the docs and get him checked over. Everything should be fine but it's best to be safe. Hope he's ok soon. :-)

I suggest after his feedings, sit him up in his car seat for about 10-15 min. This helps the milk stay down longer and more time to digest. This is what I've always been told by my doctors. Hope this helps!

Also monitor his weight. As long as he is gaining ~1 ounce per week, there is no concern. If he's losing weight or not gaining well, see his doctor.
