Some people are more prone to acne than others and it really doesn't matter what you use to treat it.
The best thing is to wash with just plain water morning and night and don't wear makeup.

I personaly would stop using clearisil. I used it when i was a teen and it only made my skin worse! Rather try getting a very mild face wash.

I have always done this for myself and kids and it seems to work, do not squeeze pimples it leaves scars, break the skin with a clean sewing needle, wipe away any fluid thin soak some Hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball (it sells at the chemist in a bottle for disinfecting wounds etc) and let it soak in. It works to minimize size to almost nothing overnight. As for prevention, a good strong rub around trouble areas with soap morning and night does wonders.

Ditto what Michelle said.

I've always found the best solution was either plain water, or Ivory soap & water only. Cleaning 'solutions' have chemicals...which can be worse for your skin.

No makeup makes a huge difference. Even though I only ever wore makeup for stage presentations when I was young, I noticed a definite improvement in my complexion when I cut out all makeup, except for necessary occasions: weddings, funerals, formal outings.

Plus, acne will be a recurring experience for the next few years...
