Hi, I have applied for SSD for my son who is on the spectrum. I also just began a new job(part time before) and Im making a pretty god Salary in Philadelphia. How will this income change affect my sons medical insurance? I have to report to DPW that I have a new job and will recieve benefits in 60days. I dont want my son to lose his insurance while all this is taking place. I only applied for SSD fr the medical insurance for him since it pays all of his therapies and also his school....HELP!

You don't get it. Each and every situation is different. My son gets SSI, and your caseworker will tell you EACH SITUATION IS DIFFERENT.
So, just like I tell everyone with questions like this, YOU HAVE TO ASK THEM. We don't know, because not only are we not employed by them, but we are an international forum.
You asked a question. I gave you the best answer you're going to get. CALL YOUR CASEWORKER. Ask them.
You may think it was sarcastic, but, honey, it most certainly wasn't.
Call your caseworker.
If you have only just applied for SSD, then your son isn't on it yet, and his medical is most likely medicaid, which will be affected. How much? no one knows...but your caseworker will be able to find out.

There, is that better? (PS That last line? That, my dear, was sarcasm.)

Thanks i guess. I thought this was a forum to post questions not to get sarcastic responses. Anywho, has anyone else been in this situation?

You have to ask them. We aren't employed by the Social Security department.
