My 3.5mo old started daycare and eats 4oz every 2 hours or 2-3hours pending activity or naps. I still breastfeed in the morn and at night before bed. He just went through a growth spurt but seems to be stabilizing with the number of ounces this wk .. Not sure if I should consider starting solids.. Our next MD visit is in 4 wks.. His 4mo f/u .. Thoughts on waiting it out ? He tends to sleep 4-6hrs at night but wakes to feed still...

Ugh... I found the duplicate post and responded there first.

Yep... 6 months is the youngest to start anything other than breast milk or formula.

Wait until 6 months for solids. Right now he needs the nutrients from the milk.

It is common at his age to be doing this. Also it is not even considered necessary to do solids until 6 months or more.
