Hi,

I can assure you that we as moms go through this. Take your kids to the park or a movie, or even have ice cream them!!! Be blessed and encourage:)

Hi Rihanna,
I understand how you must be feeling. It is very difficult when you are raising your children and you feel very alone, because for most of the day, you are looking after the children. What helped me was writing a journal. Every day, I wrote a journal about what I felt, and what my hopes in life were.

After each week, I would re-visit each journal entry I wrote, and it gave me some inspiration because, I read all about my own hopes and dreams for myself and many of those were also connected to what I wanted for my children.

I can suggest to you, write a journal, find positivity and meaning in the things you do with your kids day by day. For example, if you take them for short walks, notice nature around you, the birds, things that the children point to, or what they look at. Write these things down. Put some music on like classical instrumental music or music used for yoga, or something more upbeat, that can get you into a little dancing. If you create times in the day where you can enjoy yourself, your sense of excitement, your sense of hopefulness, that really does help, a lot.

Watch a movie with your children too, and especially if it is a comedy, that is even better, because it will make you feel so much more alive when you are able to laugh out loud, and feel energetic and feel happy.

I hope this is helpful to you. If you can, order flowers for yourself. I did that, and I was so happy that I did, because when I received them, just seeing the flowers made me feel better. It was as if I gave myself a present. I feel very much that believing in positive things each day, helps us. Take one day at a time. Just think about today. Tomorrow will come and you can think about that day then, but just for today, do something happy for yourself.

:)

Sincerely,
Felicia

Hi There,
I know how you feel as well. Sometimes I feel like that as well and I have a 15 month old. I'm not exactly a young mother lilke some of you here but sometimes you just want someone who you can vent to or just a shoulder to cry on. Hang in there it will get better :)

Hello! I completely understand your loneliness and depression. I am in the exact same boat! I am a young mother (21) of a 9 month old son and our second baby is on the way and expected to arrive in June. It's really sad being 21 and literally having no friends, but I guess that's the price you pay when your affiliated with the military and you constantly are moving. I hope to hear back from you because I would really enjoy having someone to talk to :-)
