Stayed home for 4 years, time to go back to work?

I've been home for about 4 years now with my 3yr old daughter and 9month old son. My old employer has called me and offered an awesome position for me at part time (TWT 7a-4p) if I want it and at great pay too. I'm torn between wanting to work and afraid that if I don't take it, then maybe I've missed my opportunity (engineering company, hard postion to find). But I also love staying home and being with my kids, I feel that no daycare is going to teach them as well as I do. I also take care of EVERYTHING in and outside of my home, so this could be stressful on me and my family.

But then again, daycare would be good for them to be with others that they don't have now. I'm financially stable enough to stay home so its not really for the pay but would be nice to have the extra money for my kids.

Anyone have any good advice on what I should do? Work or stay home?

Take the job! It's only part time and like you said, you may not get an opportunity like this again. You're kids will be fine in daycare a few days a week and can interact with other kids. Plus you can interact with adults. It's a good thing all the way around.
