I have two daughters who do not get on with their step dad. With reason, he has not veen easy. He is wanting yo change and prove to them that he can but they won't give him a chance to try. I feel so emotionally drained ib this tugg of war....

Unfortunately, your daughters do have a point. If they weren't getting along int he beginning, it may have been something of a red flag. However, you can't go back, and I can totally understand your stress. I'm really not sure what to advise, Clearly you have tried to talk to your daughters about giving him more of a chance. Regardless of whether they will, your husband still needs to make the effort. Maybe they will be more likely to give him a chance if he persists in making the changes they need to see. After all, he is the adult in this relationship.

They are 16 and 18. He has been in their lives for 7 years now. He is an extreme introvert and they are both extroverts. He has committed recently to try harder with them but they say he has had 7 years why now.

How long has he been in their lives? How old are they? How did they get along in the beginning?
