He will turn 16 in March. He is tall, so skinny and so affectionate. The psychologist said he is in the level of an autistic child but because he engages with smiles and looks right at you he did not fit the autistic criteria. He smiles right from the start of the day.
He speaks one word and uses gestures with me a lot. I understand him always. But will he ever be able to go out in the world, work and be independent?
What can I do to help him besides speech therapy and a special needs school he's been attending since age 6.
Will he be happy knowing his impediments?
