My son has been having issues with sleep for about 6 mos now. We have tried everything form Dye-free Benadryl, Melatonin, to sleepytime tea for kids. We have even seen a neurologist who prescribed Clonadine. I was very worried about giving it to him but last week I just couldn't go without another night of sleep. He said that he could have anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 of a 0.1 mg tab of Clonadine. The first night I tried just 1/4 and he continued to wake up all night just like he had never had any medicine. A few nights later I gave him 1/2 and he did the same thing all night. The only difference I have seen is that when he gets the clonadine instead of the melatonin he seems like he is sleep walking when he wakes up at night. With the Melatonin he is very resistant to going back to his bed at night but with the Clonadine he jsut gets back in his bed with no problem. Anyone else with this same issue? Is it safe to give Clonadine and Melatonin on the same night? I was just thinking that maybe that would work.
