Have him pinch his nose for 10-15 minutes. I have kids sit straight up rather than lean back or forward. If his nose is dry, a saline spray in each nostril at bedtime will help moisten the inside. If he has blood vessels near the surface and get a lot of nosebleeds he may need to have them cauterized. Keep track of how many and how long they last.
