My oldest son just turned two in June he has Accommodative Esotropia. He got his first pair of glasses at 18 months, they strengthened his prescription three months later and we started patching a couple of hours a day. Three months after that, his last appointment, I was told that although his vision is improving he will still need Strambismus Surgery before the end of the year. I am willing to do this if I feel that's what he needs but at this point I feel like we are being pushed into it. If his vision is improving then why operate? To the mother's who have had the surgery done, what convinced you it was needed?
