Ok my two year old son is still doing it when I reprimand him and he doesn't want to listen he stares into space and reamins completely frozen indifferent at least on the surface to my demands, he doesn't scream or cry or resist actively but is tenaciously stubborn. How to get him to react healthily?

You need to keep reminding him that when you are speaking to him, he needs to pay attention, and redirect him as often as necessary to get him in that habit.

You have to be as tenaciously stubborn as your kiddo sometimes...while still being an adult. Which, yes, is a contradiction!

LOL...Mardi...you are so right...we'll say these things often over the next years!

As a matter of fact I asked my 15 YO last night if he realized how many times I've had a particular conversation...and he said "More than I want to, mom"...to which I replied, "well, one of these days you'll get the clue"...LOL

You can tell him that just because he is looking over there, doesn't mean he's not listening, so you expext him to do what he is ask, irregardless of if he wants to igore you or pretend your not there.

And then remind him its rude not to look at people when they talk to you.

He may only be two, but you will say these things often enough in his future anyway, might as well start early......lol oh and good luck,

We must be capable of staying in sync with them from the very first moment of conception through all of their transformations and to keep a rhythm evolving and at the same time to remain intimately connected to the roots of their being, everyday there's something new change is positive rituals important but most importantly endurance and flexibility!
