I am expecting my second child in about three weeks. My first I had 5 years ago. When I was in labor, I chose to have an epidural. Now that I am older, and some years have passed, I am thinking about not using an epidural. Back then I never read all the risks involved. I am looking for any suggestions that anyone may have on what to expect and things that work and things that don't. Also, some suggestions on other medications to help with pain, but not an epidural. I did not take a birthing class this time around, since I took one with my first. The other kickers is this time around, I am in a different marriage, and this is my husband's first child. So, I am looking for any suggestions to help prepare him.
