Are you concerned about what to do with your kids during the summer? Any suggestions on how to get the neighbors to watch them for you? Any plans for family vacation? Thank you in advance. {:+)

Oh, and my husband informed me yesterday that he is shutting his phone off all summer so he doesn't have to hear me complain about how bad the kids are being. So much for a supportive husband. He works 12-14 hrs a day anyway, so it's not like he's here enough to help when they are bad.

I was just thinking about this. This is my first summer with 4 kids (my youngest is only 7months). The three oldest fight constantly, and for some reason my 3 year old can be so calm during the day, but as soon as his brother and sister get off the bus, he turns into wild man. He literally climbes the walls (puts he hands on either side of a door frame and just starts climbing). I'm so scared about completely losing it, and ending up in a mental institution! I know there will be a lot of outside time, and I plan on making my older kids help with housework (it's amazing how clean the floors get when I give them a magic eraser and have them scrub). We have a gas guzzler vehicle, and live pretty far in the country, so there won't be too many outings with gas being over $4 a gallon. As far as neighbors go. The 3 neighbors that live close to me, are not really the kind I want or trust to watch my kids. Well, the one would be ok, but he works, and she is going to college. Ohhh, maybe she'll be out of school, and she can let them ride her horse again sometimes or play with the chicks. hmmmm that's a good idea. My 6 year old just adores her and asks to go over there all the time.
