My 10 yr old daughter is hooked on the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. It's about (house) cats that live in Clans in the wild. There are 25+ books in the series. She also writes 2 other similar series, one about dogs, the other about bears.

Great for toddlers before the September Preschool or Kindergarten start! I have a great book that can help ease the start of school or daycare. The Missing Mommy Cure is a children's book written by Midge Leavey. I am a mom with a son who suffered with separation anxiety terribly! I also own a preschool for 12 years and have helped mom's over the years with this solution! Please try it! You can find it at www.missmidgiesbooks.com, barnesandnoble.com, and amazon.

Each book comes with an interactive game and bonding bracelet

My 8 year old daughter is currently hooked on some old classics - The Magic Faraway Tree and The Wishing Chair. She is reading these on her own, and we also read chapters of them together. It brings back memories of my own childhood :)

My children loved the Enid Blyton books as well. The Adventurous 4 are great for younger boys. My daughter also enjoyed the Anne of Green Gables collection.

My son also enjoyed the Percy Jackson collection and the Ink Heart trilogy.

Both children enjoy Andy Griffith - real boy humour and it makes them laugh out loud.
