supervised access

hello all I am new here. I have full final custody of my grandson and the mom was granted supervised access that she didn't not have any interest in for the past 7 months. She jsut recently wanted to start to supervised visits so they have been set up. the child is not 7 months older and has a sever sepertion anxiety from me and they are so extreme that there is nowwhere i can go without the child. His mom dragged us through a very lengthy court battle and in the end never showed up to the last 2 court dates and made it very easy for us to prove she was not reliable. So I don't knwo much about supervised access in ontario and have been assured that it is safe but I have my doubts with a child who can't leave my sight for 5 mins will do well with this access. Whent he final court order was given to me with final custody a leave was granted for bio mom to bring a motion forward for unsupervised access. My question is how long of supervised access would it take before a judge would consider unsupervised and what would she have to do to get them? Hope this makes sense. also found out she is now expecting anotehr child from a new guy and nothing in her life ahs changed in the postive from when we took her to court to prove her unfit to raise our grandchild.

I can only wish you the best & my heart goes out to you. I can not even imagine her raising the next one, when she has no feelings or parental rights to the first one. Best of luck to you, God Bless your efforts & love for the children.

Surely if he is having a complete meltdown they will contact you immediatley!!!! I would just ask that you be present until the child feels more comfortable since this "mom" is a stranger to the child

Supervised visits can happen right in your home, you can be the adult who supervises, just ask the courts for this. Im not sure how long before unsupervised would be granted, I guess it would all depend on if she changes her life or not.
