Sutton Coldfield: Is there a need for a creche in our area?

I have an idea of wanting to start up and run a creche in the sutton coldfield area but I wondered if anyone would use the creche if it were there? Somewhere where you could drop your kids off for a couple of hours to do something for yourself.

A very old friend of mine recently changed career to run child care and was bowled over by just how much paperwork, evidence of target achievement and so on that the UK government require. Just be warned that even if you're aiming to look after children for a few hours at a time, you'll need an enhanced CRB check at the very least and may also need to prove that you're able to meet certain objectives.

I'm not sure who you should contact to find out more, but Citizens Advice might be able to help!

You could always start one......I've never heard of this term. Ok just googled it, it's what we call a daycare here but the child only stays for a few hours at a creche. I think it's a GREAT idea especially if you don't have one in your area. What's to lose! I bet you would get a ton of moms wanting to drop their kids off.
