Switching Sippy Cups

My almost 16 month old son will only drink out of one specific sippy cup. The NUK starter cup, however they have started making the nipples on these cups differently now. They are made from a dark rubber instead of the clear silicone that they used to be made from. So we have one of each but he will only drink from the clear silicone one,but he has chewed so much of the silicone off that it is no longer a "sippy" cup and he makes a mess everywhere with juice. I have tried several others,he doesn't like the ones with the straws he doesn't understand the concept of not having to tip the cup. He really is not making any progress with other cups,he will barely even put them in his mouth! Any suggestions?

Sorry I don't really have any advice for you other than to only give him another cup and eventually he will realise that is the only one he has to drink from. If he is thristy, he will drink no matter which cup it is in. I had the same thing with my boys.
