Taking off clothes and diapers.

I have an 18 month old daughter, she keeps taking off all of her clothes and her diapers. Each time she removes her diaper, she rips it, so I have to throw it away, I can afford just enough diapers to get her through my 2 wk pay period, but since she's been doing this she's going through twice as many diapers a day, I can't afford to keep buying more all the time. Is there a way I can keep her diaper on till it's wet?? She's been taking off diapers that are dry, and no matter what I put on her clothing wise, she can easily take it off. Any suggestions??

She's learned a new skill and is practising :P

Duct tape. Honestly, have some handy and if she takes it off, you can still reuse it and duct tape it on. She won't be able to get it off then.

Or you could even try putting them on backwards. I know it sounds strange but it has worked for friends of mine that have had kids doing this.

Even if you're not using cloth diapers, you might want to buy a diaper cover with snaps (they're about 8-15 dollars) My son was easily stripping off his velcro diaper covers and his disposable diapers, but he just could not get those snaps undone.

Unless she wiggles out of them from the top, I think if you put a snap-closing diaper cover over the disposable diaper, she'll be stuck wearing a diaper even if the rest of her is naked. ;)

lol Amy. I'm not sure if pull-ups would fit her, she's 18 months old but only weighs 19 pounds, and she can still wear some 6-9 month stuff, she's just really pettite, like I was at her age. But asking her about the big girl potty is a really good idea. I'm going to have to try that :D Thank you :D

When my daughter went through this phase I bought pull ups so when she took them off I could just put them back on. It only lasted about a month because when she did it we'd ask her if she was going to sit on the big girl potty, which she didn't want to do so we would tell her she had to put her diaper back on.
