My best advice would be to walk away when he throws the fit or hits....If he throws a toy just take the toy away. In some ways It is a phase that will pass as he gets older. Sometimes giving simple words for him to use can help. Some is testing, some is not knowing how to control emotion, and some is just not having the words to express what he wants.
