Month now 11yr old also has bad eczema. I do have an rx from a dermatologist when it flares up bad but all other times we use Cetaphil cleanser when he showers and lotion every day. Actually not lotion but cream it moisturizes better. You do need to talk to princapal and let them know that type of comment from the teacher would be the same as bullying if another child would have said it.

I agree with the others here. That was rude, inappropriate and highly offensive. I would suggest you write a letter to the principal. I tend to relate my feelings better in writing, I get very emotional when talking about things that bother me, as this should would and does.

Talk to the principal! That was not the right way to ask and the teacher needs to know that!

Cetaphil is wonderful! They have a body wash and a lotion. the little girl I watch has eczema and that is what they use (also what their pediatrician told them to use).

Prednisone it's not a drug to be taken lightly and I doubt they would give it to a young child unless nothing else worked(it's very strong and it's a steroid). Back to the teacher: this is definitely something that you need to talk to the principal about. There tactful ways to find out what is going on in a child home. asking if you had ruining water was not one of them!

I have a friend who has it really badly and he had his doctor put him on Prednisone, maybe you could ask for that?

That was REALLY rude! I would talk to the principal too. Does she not know what ezcema is?
