Teacher can't handle his Tourette's

My grandson was diagnosed with Tourette's right before the start of this school year which is 3rd grade. I met with his teacher before school started and explained some things. I knew very little due to just beginning this journey. Now, the teacher seems to be picking on him. He is missing recesses and has to 'pull his card' a lot. He is missing the 'good behavior parties' which he's always been a part of. I've sent the teacher article for her to read to try and understand his condition but I'm pretty sure she hasn't given any effort to reading them. She even informed me that she has gone 'above and beyond' for him. He cries at night explaining to me how she picks on him and gets mad at him. I'd love some good advice as to how to handle this because I'm at a loss. He has always been a good student and very well liked amongst his peers. I really feel that she is a detriment to his life at this point.
