My baby girl is 8 months old and I need advice on how to help her learn to hold her own bottle and get use to drinking out of her sippy.

My third child breastfed and would not take a cup or bottle until after a year! It was embarrassing, to go to the pediatrician and have them ask "does he take a cup?" at 6,7,8,9,10 months.... yikes! Well my baby is 11 yo (yes years) now and she does a cup just fine! Your baby is going to be fine, and if you enjoy holding the bottle and snuggling with her, you go ahead a do it! She is gonna grow SO fast!

At 8 months she can hold a bottle but doesn't. Put her little hands on the bottle help her direct it to her mouth, then let go. If it falls, tell her to pick it up and guide her hands. I would try this when she is hungry but not s hungry she gets frustrated. she will get the hang of it.
The sippy cup; just put water or formula or breastmilk in it at each meal and put it in front of her. She will tip it, spill it, throw it on the floor. At some point she will take a drink and it will click. Don't sweat any of this, it will happen. She will not go to preschool with you holding a cup for her! Rest easy!
