What are some creative ways that you guys teach your kids about holidays? I have a toddler and I spent all of the Yule season attempting to come up with fun Yule crafts. I live in a big city so it was impossible to find a Yule log despite our best efforts :( but we made sun ornaments among other projects! What do you guys do?

I find my beliefs are pagan but are very different from my mom's beliefs. Her ways of celebrating holidays I use but a lot of being pagan is coming up with your own path. I like you talk about it with them about their beliefs. What were you teaching them before? I've never had to find a path so I find it interesting when someone changes. I have a friend who I helped find her way to being pagan by just being open with her on my beliefs. Her practices are much different than my own but she is happy with her faith.

HEY, so glad to see other pagan moms!!

I'm actually in the same boat, my kids are older (18,15,12,12) and I've been pagan for about 8 years or so. When I was first learning about and figuring out my path I really didn't involve my children too much. I didn't want to introduce them to something I hadn't fully committed to, but now I want to get them involved but as teens and per teen they obviously have no interest in anything involving mom! Lol. We do have regular times that we all sit down and talk about different topics related to spirituality, I share my beliefs and try to find out where their minds are. Then we do a simple ritual for gratitude or love or healing for the family. I usually observe the sabots with my adult circles, occasionally I'll take whichever of my kids that's interested to ritual. Oh and we meditate together, I started that when they were little. This may not help much if you have little kids but I have found some good ideas online using google. I would love to stay in touch and share ideas with you ladies!

omg Where are you from!? I have NEVER found another pagan parent online before. My mom didn't do much with us until we were a bit older, she raised us pagan. Once we were older we would help decorate, go find pretty leaves for the fall equinox.
There is a pagan childrens book store online and there is are two books that do all the holidays and it's a rabbit learning about them. There is also a abc book of shadows, which we own :) .
My toddler and I decorated the tree together and I made cookies with icing. For Beltane we go to a fair held in the city and attend the ceremony. Next Fall we will be gathering leaves like I did with my mom. That's all I can come up with right now. You can message me if you want :)
