i just recently became a mom on august 25th. not just a mom, a teen mom. im 17, a senior in highschool. im still attending but i do it all from home. my daughter doesnt go to daycare, she stays at home with me. i am with her father, he works out of town monday-thursday. he just barely makes enough to pay the things we need paid. what im wondering is if anyone knows of any government assistance programs to help with bills, food, clothing, or maybe even transportation. any information would be very much appreciated. thank you.

Try going to the government website for your state and search for assistance programs. I live in Indiana so I would go to www.in.gov. Ours has has a tab for family and you can likely find the information you need there. I'm not sure if it's a nationwide program, but I was on something called WIC (Women Infants and Children) that helped with food for pregnant women and children. They covered the formula after my daughter was born and I'm sure they could give you info on other programs that might help you.

It depends on where you live. Personally I would go to your county office, and apply for public assistance. At the very least depending on income, you might be able to get food stamps. Congratulations by the way!
