Teen rebels

I need help. My 14 year old daughter has excellent grades, a nice respectful group of friends, is responsible, and helps with anything at all that I ask her to do around the house. Except for keeping her room perfect. I always grew up with a clean room, so why can't she? She is busy almost every day with school related activities, but finds time to help out with the rest of the house. Is it wrong of me to expect her room to be spotless too?

I have a teen who can't keep his room clean either. You think this is teenage rebellion? Nope. It's normal. I'm not the one who has to live in his room, so I just shut the door and remind him to tidy it up every now and then. If that's the worst I have to deal with when it comes to my teen, I'm not complaining. Save it for the real battles.

Seriously? Good grades, good friends, respectful and responsible, helps clean the rest of the house... and you want to nitpick about her room not being spotless? As long as it's not a disaster... leave her alone.

The only help you need is to let go of your perfectionist idealism...
