I live in an area that does not have anything for youth to do, but get in trouble because there's nothing here. I want to start a organization that will provide trips to a adventures and camping, hunting, fishing, exhibits. Art, music and anything else we could provide for these youth to do things that will benefit their lives! If anyone has suggestions how to get started or things I can do or possibly help us get this started please help us! Thank you and God bless

Trisha, thank you for your ideas and that is what we had in Az as well it was great, but here in Louisiana that is not the case they have very little to offer outside the area we live in. He is already in karate but that is only at night 3x a week for only an hour, it helps fill in some but not what we need. Thank you and God bless

My suggestion is reach out to youth groups and churches that might already exist. One of the youth groups in the city I live in have volunteers that run a rec program for kids. It is one building that has different activities, like indoor skateboarding (we live in Canada), basketball, rockclimbing. The activities change based on the day of the week it is.
We are in a low income area, and I truly believe that this is one of the reasons some of the kids have been able to stay away from criminal activity.
