I have never posted a question before yet am really looking for some input here. My twins who are 17 have been smoking pot and when I first found out I was so upset I took one of them to a 12 step meeting so he could see what happens when you are addicted to a substance. They just finished their last football season of high school and are both very athletic and average/above average students with regard to grades.I started to do some research and found that YES it is illegal - yet alcohol is so much worse and causes so many more injuries/deaths. They do not like alcohol! I do not drink or have alcohol in my home as I personally do not like it. I tried pot as a teenager myself and did not like it. How are other parents dealing and feeling about this? It seems that so many of their friends are smoking it is like an epidemic at their school. Any input from other parents would be so much appreciated! Thanks in advance! P.S. I asked them why they smoke and they say it relaxes them, there is nothing else do to, and everyone else is doing it. I do not think that grounding them or taking their phone, etc... is the answer as I have done that and it does not work..
