Poor baby, my son teethed early and stopped then started again. He disliked the teething toys, and Oragel did not work for him. So I resorted to an old remedy past down in my family. Which was, using a clean wash cloth to teethe on. Wet it and ring it out a bit and place it in the freezer in a ziploc bag until cold. If he does not like to hold the cold cloth then give him a wet cloth soaked in cold water and rung out a bit. My son was happy chewing on this, with of course adult supervison. Also, I cut a cold apple I placed in the refrigerator and cut off a slice big enough to fit snugly in the teething bag or fresh food bag and he was happy in the daytime chewing on it. At night when I knew he was out of sorts with pain and irritabilty, before bed I gave him a dose of tylenol infant drops to take care of the pain then his bottle of millk. Because it hurts more at night. Consult with your doctor before using any over the counter meds for teething. This too shall pass Mom.
