Ok here's my question. My baby is just turning 11 months old on Tue. I have been worling full time since he was 3months old. I've been able to continue breastfeeding this whole time via pumping. He weaned himself off the breast awhile back. So jes taking bottles. I got sick for a couple wks and now I'm not pumping enough for him to drink each day. The REAL issue is I've started using my frozen stash and when I thaw it it smells like spit up, not soapy. Prior to freezing all of my milk I did a test to make sure I didn't have high lipase content and it seemed fine then. In my attempt to always give him fresh I'm using milk that's 4minths old. He seems to still drink it. But I don't want to give him "bad" milk and I don't want to give him formula where he's almost 1! I feel stuck! And am just sick if my stash is all bad!

I'm using a deep freeze and its not self defrosting. I wonder if maybe I'm just sensitive to the smell? My husband doesn't think it smells bad but just that it has a smell where the fresh usually doesn't.

What type of freezer are you using? Unless it is a deep freeze, it wouldn't last 4 months and it would be off.
