The BIGGEST problem for mothers and grandmas and I want to fix it

My name is Elijah and my fiance Lindsay and I have a 14 month old baby girl Keziah.

I am a 6'2 190lb man who spends a lot of time in the gym...and carrying our daughter's car seat can be a workout.

I hate the thought of my 5'4 fiance, her mother and all small women having to lug around a heavy car seat so I started tooling around with an idea..

Ladies imagine a mini pack & play that can hold a car seat on top and groceries, bags, etc in the cart itself. Would you use this?

ALL feedback is greatly appreciated. I am a supportive fiance who wants to make every mother, grandmother, and parents life more enjoyable.

I would not use. However, as my son does not drive and uses a taxi a fair amount I would consider buying it for him. Makes it easier than dragging around that big car seat.

carrying a 14 month old in a car seat? No friggin way. By that age, mine were walking, or we had a pram.

There are plenty of convertible models on the market that are convenient, light, and easy to use, for a younger child. Those models are not designed for a 14 month old, for good reason. That child is old enough to start using their own legs, or to be put in a pram or folding stroller, which is also light enough to maneuver, even for my 70 YO mother in law.

I have to agree with the other ladies. It sounds rather complicated than helpful. You are talking a play pen type thing and that would not set on a grocery cart at all. And as the others have said there are strollers/prams that have a carrier car seat attachment that can be used to put an infant in. At 14 months the child can sit in the cart seat that is provided in the grocery cart or you can use a stroller.

Nope. It sounds dangerous. I am under 5ft. Yeah it is hard to manage but it can be done.

I'm also wondering why you are carrying around a carseat.
If it's a capsule you are talking about, there are prams that capsules attach to already on the market.
I personally never used a capsule, I just had a convertible carseat and had a pram. I personally wouldn't use it as it's just another thing to buy and use for such a short amount of time.

ETA: I just reread what you had written, there's no way I would still be carrying around a 14 month old in a carseat. That's what prams are for.

I actually don't understand why you would be lugging around a car seat......

Sounds inconvenient to me. If I am going to be shopping I don't want something that takes time to set up or that is in the way. Even if it sits on top of stuff I first have to get the stuff in there. Also if I have my other kids with me it would just be inconvenient. If I did not want to carry the car seat I would just babywear.
