Does the name Teegan sound like a boy name to you? We really like that name for our son (due in 11 days) but sometimes it sounds kinda like a girly name. We like that it has nicknames like Tee..Tig...and Teeg...but i just dont want my lil man to be made fun of for having a girly name!! what do you think?!

That's wild, it's predominantly a boys name here in the states. It's shown as a boy or girls name though if you look it up.

I don't think its too bad, compared to some I've seen. I think it looks better with one E though - Tegan.

I have a friend who named their little girl Teegan, but I also have another friend with a son named Keegan.

It doesn't sound like a name at all to me. But it I had to choose, I'd say it's a girl name.

Tegan,Teagan or Teegan is not an uncommon name in Australia but it's only given to girls here.

2 of my friends little girls are Teagan nad i dont know any boys with that name, but alot of names are unisex. Try and look on some baby names websites and see what catagory they come under to settle your mind x

Nah, I think Teegan sounds manly. I actually wouldn't consider it a girls name but to each their own. We actually thought about it for a name for our son but we went with Ethanael, Ethan for short.

Its really a personal preference. If you like the name....name him Teegan. Who cares if it sounds girly or not? Its a unisex name if you ask me...like Skylar.

Well, it's more commonly a girl's name. It is Gaelic for "Little Poet". I think it could be used as boy's name. I have a boy in my class named Keegan. That's Gaelic for "Son of Fire".

i have never heard the name before & it dont sound girly to me it sounds like it would be a cute name for a lil boy

It doesn't sound girly, but I've only ever heard the name once and it belonged to a female character on a TV show. I like it. Now that I think about it, it is gender neutral, but strong-sounding. BTW, the TV show is one of our favorites and we named our daughter after another character!

It doesn't really sound girly to me. I personally have never heard of that name before, so really it niether sounds girly nor does it sound boyish to me. If you want to name him that then go right ahead! That name also reminds me of the name Keegan........I know somebody who named their boy that name.
