Pleease help figure out what gate I need. I need top of stairs gate. It cant be taller than 30" or 32" but with an angle mount. I would like a gate that only swings in one direction or has that option. I also have to have a banister kit. Ive given up on apppearance at this point, but white would be nice. Any suggestions ladies?

I LOVE my evenflo top of stair gates. I got them at Walmart (or, they ship right to you) for under 30 bucks. I got three and I use them all over the house because they are nice, sturdy, and go with our decor and our kids BEAT on them and they're still fine. :D Pretty easy to install too.

I took a sheet of plywood and drilled it into my wall so my daughter wouldn't fall into it and knock it off. ITs quite sturdy and none can knock it over. You can't open it however so you need to walk over it. Its safer than a gate IMO.

This is a late reply.... I couldn't figure out the website. As long as the gate is designed for top of the stairs mewing it drills into the wall and has one directional swings meaning that even if the gate wasn't closed properly it would not open up into the stairs. Trust me I had all safety factors in mind. I found one I like from one step ahead. It is very secure.

I would not put a gate at the top of the stairs if there is a way you can possibly avoid it. There have been cases of children running into it and it falls over with the child falling down the stairs with it.
