Hello! Im new to this website and am looking for some encouraging words and hopeful stories. This is my second pregnancy, I lost my first at just 7 weeks in Jan 12. I was diagnosed with pcos in September 2012 and found out I was pregnant Nov 1, 2012. I had a NT scan at 12 weeks. The ultrasound technician stated that I was measuring at 11w1d. The heart beat was strong 176. At my 14 w check up I was told that the baby had a slightly thickened nuchal fold. My midwife reassured me she didnt think I had anything to worry about but how can I not??? She kept stating that it was only slightly thickened not severely thickened. We are having a papp-a test done in a week or so but until then I'm left wondering what could be wrong. Im currently 15w3d. Im just wanting some encouraging words even verses to help me through this. Regardlessof any test results, my little baby is sooo dearly loved. Also, has anyone else had results like this? Everything else during the ultrasound was just fine.

When we first found out I did so much resesarch and some of it gave me so much hope and some terrified me. I finally got the courage to call yesterday and ask about the measurement. She told me that at the time there is some kind of membrane that is still present and because i was measuring a week behind she believes that that is all it was. When I asked about the measurement she said from 2.0mm to 3.0mm. The biggest measurement she got was 3.2mm which she believed was the position of the baby. However; we went to the ER Christmas Night b/c I was bleeding and everything checked out fine. The u/s technician that did the u/s at the ER found no abnormalties so hoping and praying everything is just fine. After calling and getting what I considered good news, I am so relieved and can actually sleep. Of course after we take the papp-a test and until we get the results I'll be on pin and needles lol.

I am pregnant with my fourth and at 10 weeks my doctors office said that my baby had a Nuchal Fold of 3.7. My husband, children and I went for two weeks thinking the worst. We traveled to California and back only to discover at the high risk doctor that everything was fine. We had blood work which came back 1 out of 10,000 chance of a problem and we had the 20'week extensive ultra sound done at the high risk doctor where yet again all was fine. I was actually released from his care back to my normal doc. I am now 28 weeks and having a healthy baby boy in march. In most of these cases everything is fine and there is nothing to worry about but even still I worry after hearing all is fine. I totally understand where you are. I am left with only hope in my God and his strength. I will pray peace over you and your heart and for that precious little one on the way :-)! God bless you and your baby!
