My daughter is 2 years old and I left my baby's dad when she was 3 months old. He's been telling me over and over that if I ever put him on child support that he will file some kind of custody, half-time or something like that. We don't live in the same city. It takes 2 flights to see him (We live in an isolated town of Alaska where we only fly to get in and out of town)I have been flying with my baby just to see him and he's came to see her twice and I flew out 5 or 6 times just to have her see him. I went through the pregnancy alone, but he only came around a month before she was born and demanded that my daughter have his last name, which she does. He supports me $150.00 a month, but that isn't enough because grocery around here is expensive. I only have a part-time job where I only make about 500-600 a month. He has a full-time job and some days I have to beg him to give me some money to get food for my daughter. I mean I don't see why I shouldn't file for child support, because a can of fruit here costs $4.00. A can of milk costs $3. All pay check goes to food and it's never enough. I am just afraid that he will file some kind of custody. He has not been there for her most of her life, and I had to risk flying and put all my responsibilities aside just so my daughter can see him, but I can't keep doing this, he threatens all kind of things just to keep me from putting him on child support. He has another kid from another mother and does the same with her.
