My son complained about a sore tooth Monday night. Tues am I called dentist to make appt thinking it was a cavity. Tuesday night he ran a fever of 103! Wed morn The dentist looked in his mouth & said he had thrush. He had the bad white "slime stuff" on the under side of his toung, and just a little film of white on top. I took him to dr, they gave him that Nastatin. The dr confused the heck out of me by throwing all these terms at me & possibilities of "whats". Well, needless to say, that was on WED, Fri afternoon I noticed a blister on his thumb. While giving him his medicine, I noticed his gums are really swollen also. Almost like the gums are covering his molars. And last night he was saying his mouth itched. he has a little red bump on his check next to his mouth. His temp is back to normal now, with a fever not happening in two days. Is it possible to have thrush AND hfmd?? Can thrush turn into hfmd? Any advise is appreciated!! Thanks!
