To all the SAHM.... Question?!?

I am pregnant with my first and want to know what to say to people when they ask what I plan to do with myself once I am home with my baby. I usually say, Take care of my baby and husband, but that doesn't seem good enough. I want to become defensive because I feel so judged, but need a good response that can explain why it is important to be a SAHM without having to go into too many details where I feel like I am defending myself. I was recently asked if I will get a hobby, side thing or exercise... I said, well yeah I will get exercise when I take the baby for walks to get fresh air. I was told, thats not exercise.... What do people want from me? A detailed description of what my daily schedule will be.

Tell them that you are having a change of career and are now going to take on the most thankless but most rewarding job in the world. When they ask you what tell them "Motherhood"

lol don't take it personally... taking care of the baby full time and the home is PLENTY of work just by itself... i WISH oh WISH i could afford to stay home.... I would ACTUALLY get laundry and dishes done!!!! I can't... i have no time to get everything done! I do warn you so many people here and on other mom sites talk about how over whelmed they feel every day having to care for the kids and keep up on house work, that they need time off, and don't know what to do. I do suggest (once the baby is older) that you do find a hobby to get away from the baby and house... and perhaps even when the baby is napping find SOME WAY to pamper yourself, or find a hobby.
