Any feedback or good resources on assisting with this difficult decision? my daughter is 8 and it is ADHD and not mismanaged behavior or poor parenting. Social problems x10 :( Thanks Moms!!

thanks Shawn. I do feel we are at the point where meds need to be tried, of course the psychiatrist also thinks so:)

Different people require different solutions. If non med solutions such as dietary and other changes work well for the person, then there's no need to medicate. But, if other methods have been tried, and not effective, perhaps medication needs to be considered.

No one will be able to tell you an absolute YES or NO, because each human's physiology differs, so treatment methods that will be effective will be different for each person.
