To rat out, or not rat out?

My neighbor has had to go out of town for work and leave her 17 year old DD home alone. This is the third time in as many months. She has asked me each time to keep an eye on things while she was away. Things have gone just fine in the past. My neighbor left yesterday and reminded me she would be out of town and that her DD had a friend that was going to stay with her. Yesterday there was another friend there also. Last night around midnight a truck pulled past my home and my neighbors. I got up and watched and the truck stop just the other side of my neighbors house. A kid went up to my neighbors house and the truck was still there this morning. I'm shocked and I would like to know what your thoughts are. Should I confront DD, go straight to mom, or both?

This is extremely unusual behavior for her. I know that it is not my neighbors DD's boyfriend, I am thinking it was one of the other girls. She's a good kid and not a troublemaker. I hate to get her into trouble but I know that her mom would not condone this type of thing.

If the mom asked you to keep an eye out for her and the house and you agreed.... tell the mom what you saw and let them sort it out.
