My son going to university in first year... he love it! my problem is.. child support payments stopped since my son just started university..and his father just moved to east province all once September! how stressful that was..

Your son is an adult, and with him no longer at home, your expenses should have been reduced.

You don't get to keep getting support for an adult, by the way. Sounds as if you need to figure out where you are over spending and cut back a bit. 😉

I agree with Jodi.
You don't get child support after the child turns 18, they are then considered an adult and should be at least contributing to supporting himself.

I don't know where you live, but where I am, child support stops at 18, or when they finish their last year of high school, whichever comes first. You can apply for extension of child support until the child finishes high school, but that's it. If your child is in University, he is most likely over 18 - isn't your son old enough to have a job to help him support himself?
