I'm at home all day with my two year old, and I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on educational TV shows I could put on for him to watch. Usually I just put whatever entertains him, but I want him to start learning more things.

He will learn more through your interaction with him. At this age, screen time should be limited and you certainly shouldn't be using it to educate him to learn more things.

Actually, though there are shows that claim to be educational, they are not really any more educational than apps on a phone. At his age you need to be doing one on one activities, letting him play with his toys and exploring his world with things around the house that are safe for his age such as plastic dishes and utensils. He needs a lot of time out of doors to run his energy off. Read to him a lot and point out things and tell him what letter of the alphabet they start with. Count things with him. Most shows are just really entertainment. And it has been shown and proven that at age 2 and under the nuerons of a child need no TV or tech devices as it does not allow the proper development of those nuerons.
