i strongly suggest you go to the doctor . my son has a bowel disorder that started with severe constipation and painful defecation he still has a bowel disorder at 4. if this continues i would talk to your doctor . a kids laxative iwll do nothing to help him . as youc ant keep using them . have him eat things iwth fibre in it . by some benefibre and bake with it or use psyllium husks and add them to cookies they are sure to be eaten .if it continues see me on facebook i can give you lot sof tips and tricks for this problem . also if the fever hasnt subsided then he need sot go to the doctor . swollen lymph nodes mean infection unless they got hit on something and were injured but thats unlikey in a child

it could be viral or bacterial you nee dot find out which one. his ear infection may not be gone . soemtimes it takes af ew courses of antibiotics from different classes to rid ear infections

well he just got over an earinfection/ sinus infection about a week and a half ago. glands were really swollen then . he takes zyrtec but i think its garbage. he still coughs and sneezes all the time. he is also cutting back molars and droolig like a faucet, so that could be another cause for the fever. ( i know they get them to fight off infection ) . his constipation has been going on a few days. he is still going, its just very large and firm. i think it MAY also be him holding it in too long too bc we are potty training and he is a little nervous. ugh! waiting on his doctors nurse to call me back now.

A fever is usually indicative that his body's immune system is kicking into gear, and the fact that his glands are swollen too probably indicates he is fighting something off. It's quite a common problem.... :P

How long has he had the fever and constipation for?
