I would get hearing tested and get her evaluated for speech therapy. Talk to your local school and they can get you connected with the AEA (area education agency). They will do a hearing test and evaluate her speech for free and then if she needs services those are also free. I have learned that you have to be your child's advocate. No other person is going to care more about your child then you. There are doctors that will tell you to wait or boys are late talkers....and sometimes that is the case a child just needs time or boys can be later talkers then girls. But in some cases there is an issue and just waiting makes that delay even more of a delay. I know a family that was told by a hearing specialist that his hearing was good and boys are late talkers....that was when he was a bit younger then your daughter (about 30 months old) at the age of 5 yrs old he got hearing aids. Imagine if he would had received those at 30 months instead of 5 yrs old!

I'm really surprised that the doctor is not referring you to anyone for services. If she is delayed... all the more reason for interventions and assistance. If you are in the US you can call Easter Seals yourself if the doctor will not refer you. If you are in any other country... I have no idea what, if anything, is available to you. Good luck!

Have you talked to her doctor? She should be getting a hearing test and an evaluation done to see if she qualifies for speech services.

No hearing test or evaluation, but the doctor said to give her more time as she is a late developer...
